So we started off the Halloween season by going to Party City and getting a Thomas costume. I am NOT much into the cheesy costumes, but Dax loved it! He wanted to put on the hat and was saying Thomas over and over again, so I gave in. When we get to Mom and Dad's house to show them, he flipped out! He would not keep it on. We thought that maybe he was just tired, but the days following, he did not give in for the costume. Since I already didn't care for the cheesy costume, we ended up taking it back. Luckily, my friend Catherine had made Dax some really cute overalls that said on the front pocket, "Young Mac Mayfield had a farm". He loved the animals on them and was ready to go!
He wasn't too good at saying "Trick or Treat", but he did like the candy part. The candy he got most excited about were suckers. We only did our loop in our section of the neighborhood, but that took an hour and a half. We were ready to be home and show Nana our candy (since Daddy was in Florida for the Georgia game).
