Our July 4th was full of excitement and fun! We started the day with Nana and Papa for brunch. Papa blew bubbles for Dax and we had a delicious breakfast of fruit, baked French toast, and egg casserole. Dax even let Papa help him feed the fish!
After a nap for all of us, we went over to Granddad and Grandmom’s house for a boat ride. “Boat” is one of Dax’s new favorite words. Granddad let Dax “steer” the boat and we had a breezy ride on Lake Lanier. The weather was perfect!
We finished the day at the Auburn Festival in Auburn, Georgia. They had lots for kids to do and a great playground where we played with all of our friends from church. The evening ended with fireworks. We were not sure how Dax would react to the “boom booms” or what he called fireworks. He sat in his stroller and watched, but was very tired after our long day. He didn’t even make it out of the parking lot before he was asleep!
