During the summer I wonder how can dishes pile up so quickly? Does anyone else have this problem? I feel like all I do is either load dishes, put them away, or prewash them for the sink because the dishwasher is full. I was just wondering if anyone else is perplexed by this phenomenon going on in their house?

Anyone else?

YES! One side of our sink looks like that now and the dishwasher is running {for the second time today}. Even though we're home for this summer and it seems this should be done, we're also cooking lots more in this added time!
There is a solution to your problem! You can use plastic plates, cups, utensils and wine glasses. When finished, simply rinse and throw in a separate box or bag. In this separate bag you can include tin cans, aluminum drink cans, plastic milk jugs, foil, glass jars, trash mail and envelopes, newspapers and catalogs, phone books, and cardboard too. Rinse out all food containers. When the bag is full, take it to the garage and start another one. When time permits, take all the filled bags to a recycling center so that they can be reused. This solution is fast and easy, it doesn't add trash to a landfill, and you don't have to use the dishwasher. Grilling meat and vegetables through the fall season also gets rid of the pots and pans issue. But the best part of all is that it teaches Dax to recycle which is what his generation is probably going to be forced to do anyway. As he gets older, he can participate in helping you keep the recyclables separate. You won't have to go often. I go about every two weeks. Hope this helps!
Summertime or not, I have this problem- I've heard that some people stash them in the oven to hide for guests-though I usually have too many to try it:)
