Last Tuesday, I began my new teaching adventure with Hall Co. public schools. I was one of 275 new teachers to Hall Co. It was interesting remembering back to starting in Gwinnett Co. seven years ago. It seems like I was just starting and scared stiff! I was VERY lucky to have such a great grade level not to mention some lifelong friends. Looking back, I don't know what I would have down without the help of Holly G., Meshelle, and Dawn. We had so much fun and I wouldn't trade those times for anything. Those are the same people that I can talk to and get into a tissy about first graders and their cute personalities. First grade has to be the best grade. Where can you teach a child who starts as a non-reader and becomes a comprehending, chapter reading student! What a great reward! I love teaching FIRST!
